East And West High School

East And West High School is situated inside the Arogya Mandir Hospital Compound on Nala Road. It’s a bit of an odd place being inside a hospital compound, but it stays quiet enough. It helps the kids stay focused on their lessons when there isn't much shouting outside. The building has several floors with classrooms that look out over the compound. We don't have a lot of fancy decorations on the walls. It’s mostly just charts and student work. The desks are made of wood and have been used by many different classes over the years. We have a small corner for books that we call the library, though it's not very big. Nala Road is a busy area, so getting here can be a bit of a hassle in the mornings. Most of our students live nearby and walk or take a rickshaw. We don't have a big marketing budget, so we don't have glossy brochures or a fancy website. People just know we are here. The staff are practical people who just want to get the teaching done. We deal with the usual school problems like broken chalk or a fan that won't turn on. It’s a very grounded place. We don't make big promises; we just provide a space for the kids to come and learn every day. We hope the students get through their exams without too much stress.
