Out here in Kishunpur, the school is one of those places that everyone in Bihta recognizes. It’s set back a bit from the main rush, which is nice because it stays a little quieter for the students. We have a lot of local children coming in every morning from the surrounding houses and villages. The building is solid and has enough rooms for all the different grades we handle. We aren't trying to be anything other than a place for kids to learn their basics. The desks are simple and the walls have some drawings and maps on them. During the rainy season, things can get a bit muddy around the entrance, but we manage. Our staff lives around here too, so we see each other at the market or on the road quite often. It makes the whole atmosphere feel more relaxed. There isn't any big corporate office behind us; it’s just the people who show up every day to teach and the ones who come to learn. We have a playground area that gets used a lot after the final bell rings. Some days are busier than others, especially when we have meetings with the parents. They usually have a lot of questions about the upcoming exams or the books. We just sit down and talk it through. It’s a practical setup. There are no fancy signs or bright lights, just the school name on the front and a gate that stays open.
