Chaudhrian Di Hatti

If you’re ever near the bus stand in Khamanon, you’ve probably walked right past us. Chaudhrian Di Hatti has been a fixture here near the Post Office and Tehsil office for a long time. It’s a busy corner of town, especially when the buses pull in and everyone rushes out. We get a lot of foot traffic from people heading to the government offices or waiting for their ride home. The shop isn’t very large, but we pack a lot into it. Every morning starts with opening the shutters and setting things up for the day. We don’t have a lot of help, so we do everything ourselves, from cleaning the floors to taking care of the customers. It’s a lot of standing on your feet and talking to people from all over the Tehsil. We’ve seen the town change a lot over the years, but the bus stand area stays just as chaotic as ever. We like the noise, honestly. It makes the day go by faster. We keep things simple here. No big corporate rules or fancy uniforms. We just wear what’s comfortable and get the job done. Sometimes we sit on the bench outside when the sun isn't too harsh and watch the world go by. It’s just a regular shop in Khamanon, serving whoever stops in. We don't need much more than a good day of work and some tea.
