Bansal Foods (India)

We are based out in Village-Kulara, which is part of Tehsil-Samana. Bansal Foods (India) is where we spend all our time. It’s a rural area, so things move at a different pace here than in the big cities. We work with food products, mostly stuff grown in the surrounding fields. Our building is a large shed with some processing machines inside. It gets quite loud when everything is running at once. We have a group of workers from Kulara and the nearby villages. Everyone knows their job. We don’t use any complicated systems, just hard work and keeping an eye on the quality of what goes into the bags. The roads around here can be a bit rough, especially when it rains, but the trucks still manage to get through to us. We spend a lot of time on our feet. The air in the village is good, though the mill can get a bit stuffy in the summer heat. We use big fans to keep the air moving. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to make sure the food we handle is treated right before it leaves Samana. It’s a lot of lifting and packing. At the end of the day, we’re tired but it’s a good kind of tired. We lock the gates and look forward to starting again tomorrow. It is just steady, daily work.
