We are based out of Kharhatelwa, specifically in the area known as Brahmantoli. Kailash Mahto is the one who helps keep things organized around the office. Our main focus is on makhana because that is what this whole area is famous for. It is a lot of hard work, to be honest. Dealing with the ponds and the harvesting is never easy and it takes a lot of patience. We formed this producer company so we could handle the federation side of things much better than we did before. We are not sitting in air-conditioned offices all day long. Most of us are out near the water or at the sorting area in the village. It is a bit messy and loud sometimes, especially when the actual processing starts. We do not have a marketing department to write nice things about what we do. We just know how to grow and process the makhana correctly. People in the Kharka Telwa panchayat know who we are and what we stand for. We have been doing this for many years, even before we made it an official company on paper. It is just how life goes in this part of the country. You work with what the land gives you and try to make a living. We try to make sure the quality is okay, but we do not use fancy words. It is just food from the village.
