Kuriya Farmers Producer Company Limited

Kuriya Farmers Producer Company Limited is based out of Ahwar Shekh Kuriya. It is a village in the Majhaulia block of West Champaran. Our office is right there in the village, near the post office of Ahwar Shekh. If you come out this way, you’ll see it is a very traditional farming area. We set up the company to help the local farmers stay organized. It is not always easy, but having a fixed place to meet helps a lot. We are located in the West Champaran district, and our pin code is 845459. The office itself is pretty basic. We have some tables and chairs and not much else. Most of the real work happens outside anyway, in the fields or at the market. We spend our time talking to people and making sure the records are right. It gets pretty busy during the planting and harvest seasons, and that is when you will find most of us crowded into the office. We don't go in for big speeches or fancy titles. We are just local people who know the land. Sometimes the phone signal is bad or the power goes out, but we just deal with it. It is just the way life is here in rural Bihar. We are glad to have a place that belongs to the farmers in this community so we can handle our own affairs.
