Down here in Durgapur, specifically at 2C Mirabai Road in the A-Zone, things feel very different from the big cities. This area was built around the industry, and it shows. Our office is right in the middle of it. It’s a plain brick and concrete structure, nothing special to look at. Inside, you’ll find a few of us sorting through files and coordinating with the plant. The weather here in West Bengal gets really hot in the summer, so we usually keep the blinds down to stay cool. There’s a lot of coming and going because of the nature of the steel work. Sometimes the roads outside get dusty from all the trucks, but that’s just how life is in an industrial township. We’ve been at this address for a long time. Most of the staff live nearby, so we know the local shops and the best places to grab a quick tea during the afternoon slump. We don't really do big meetings or fancy presentations here. It’s more about checking the numbers and making sure the supplies are ready. We focus on the daily tasks. If you come by, you’ll probably see someone fixing a bike outside or people walking to the local market. It’s a quiet life on Mirabai Road, but we keep busy enough with the responsibilities on our plates. It is a decent place to work and we get along well.
