Supershakti Metaliks Ltd.

Supershakti Metaliks Ltd. is out in Durgapur, located on Kanjilal Avenue in the West Burdwan district. Durgapur is known for its industrial roots, so it makes sense for us to be here. The area around Kanjilal Avenue has a lot of trees, which is a nice change from some of the more cramped industrial zones. The place we have here is quite large, and we have a lot of people coming and going throughout the day. I usually start my morning by checking in with the gate security and seeing what trucks are scheduled to arrive. It is a long walk from the front entrance to the main office, but it gives me a chance to see what is happening in the yard. We handle a lot of metal here, and the sound of heavy machinery is just part of the background music for us. The staff is mostly locals from the West Burdwan area, so there is a real sense of community in the canteen during lunch breaks. There are no big speeches here; we just prefer to get on with the day’s production and make sure everything is running smoothly. The weather gets quite hot here in the summer, so we appreciate the shade when we can find it. It is a straightforward operation where everyone has their job to do, and we have been doing it this way at this Durgapur site for a long time now.
