Our group is centered in Badasarlapadu, and we use the space around house numbers 1-186 to 2-180 for our meetings and business. Vemsoor Jeevana Jyothi is really about the local farmers coming together to make things work. It’s a very rural setting, and the office is just a part of the local housing area. We don’t have a big sign or a lobby. People just know where we are. Usually, you’ll find a few of us sitting around talking about the latest crop yields or the price of supplies. It’s a collaborative effort, and everyone puts in their bit. Sometimes we meet early in the morning before the sun gets too hot. The work involves a lot of record-keeping for the different members, which can be tedious, but it’s necessary for the company. We aren't a corporate entity with a CEO; we are just neighbors trying to improve our situation. The atmosphere is very relaxed, and there is no dress code or formal talk. We drink a lot of tea and wait for the rain to come at the right time. Badasarlapadu is a quiet village, and our company is just a small part of the life here. We take things as they come and try to support each other when the harvest is thin. It’s a very human way of doing business, rooted in the ground we work and the community we live in every single day.
