Vellaturu is a small place, and our office is at D.No.5-36/1. It’s right near the Outa Kalava, that canal that runs through the area. When the water is high, it’s actually quite nice to look at from the front step. Most of the day here is spent dealing with turmeric. Everything turns a bit yellow after a while. The floors, the desks, and even our fingernails sometimes. We work with the local farmers around Guntur. They come by on their tractors or bikes with news about their crops. It’s a dusty place because of the dry turmeric roots being moved around. The 522257 pin code covers a lot of ground, but we are right here near the water. We have a couple of old wooden tables and some plastic chairs that have seen better days. The power goes out once in a while, so we just sit outside by the canal until it comes back on. It’s not a fancy corporate setup. We don't use much technology besides a basic computer and our phones. Most of the real business happens with a handshake and a lot of talking. The Guntur heat can be something else in the summer, so we keep the windows open for whatever breeze comes off the fields. It’s just how things are done in Vellaturu. We’ve been at this spot for a while now and everyone knows the turmeric guys near the kalava.
