Down in Mellavagubollapalli, you can find us at house number 1-102. It is a small place near Narasarao Pet, and it is where we run Pudamimitra Farmer Producer Company Limited. We started this because the individual farmers were having a hard time on their own. Now, we all come together to talk about the crops and how to move them. It is mostly cotton or chili depending on the year and what the weather is doing. Sometimes the roads are dusty and the trucks are late, but we manage to get things sorted out eventually. There is no big corporate ladder here, just a bunch of neighbors who know each other’s kids and parents. When you walk into our place, you might see bags of seeds or just a few chairs for meetings. We don't have a big sign or shiny windows. It’s just practical. We handle the paperwork and the selling part of the job so the farmers can focus on the dirt and the plants. Life in the village is slow sometimes, but there is always something to do with the land. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just grow things, pack them, and try to get a fair price so we can keep going next season. That’s the whole story of our little group here in the district.
