Macharla Farmers Producer Companylimited operates out of a small place in Gudur, specifically H.No-2-11 in Ponugudu. We are a group of local farmers who decided it was better to work together than to try and do everything alone. It’s a very local operation and most of the people involved have known each other for a long time. Our office in Ponugudu isn't anything special to look at, just a place where we store our records and some of the smaller equipment or supplies. We spend a lot of our time out in the fields or traveling between different farms to see how things are growing. Being in the Macharla area, we’re used to the local conditions and the challenges that come with farming here. We don't have a big staff, so everyone ends up doing a bit of everything, whether it’s filling out forms or loading up a truck. There are days when things go wrong, like a machine breaking down or a buyer backing out, but we just deal with it as it comes. We aren't interested in sounding like a big corporation because we aren't one. We’re just a bunch of people trying to make a living from the land. If you stop by, you’ll probably find us drinking tea and talking about the next harvest. It’s a slow and steady process and we’re okay with that. We just take things as they come and do the work that needs doing.
