Our shop, Shubham Airtel Gallery, is located right at the Ranakpur Bus Stand. Because of the location, it’s always loud with the sounds of buses honking and conductors shouting out destinations. It’s a small space, barely enough for the main counter and a few chairs for people who are waiting to get their SIM cards activated. I spend my whole day here, dealing with all kinds of mobile-related issues. People come in when their internet isn't working or when they need to pay a bill but don't know how to do it online. It’s not a fancy corporate office; it’s just a practical spot for people on the move. The walls are painted red, and there are posters everywhere explaining different data plans. Sometimes the system is slow, and we just have to sit and chat with the customers while we wait for the screen to load. It can get quite crowded in the evenings when the workers are heading back to their villages. I’ve been running this place for a while and I’ve seen all sorts of people pass through. It’s a busy, sometimes stressful job, but it keeps me connected to the town. We don't have any big mission statements. We just try to help people get their phones working so they can call their families. It’s straightforward work and it keeps the days moving fast in this busy part of Ranakpur. I usually close up once the last major bus leaves.
