If you head down to Gandhi Murti on Mira Marg, that’s where you’ll see our shop. It’s a busy spot with cars and rickshaws always zooming by. We’ve got the shop set up to handle mobile phones and all the little accessories that go with them. It’s not a huge place, but we make it work. The walls are covered in displays of different phone covers and headphones. We spend a lot of time talking to people about which battery lasts longer or which screen is toughest. It’s mostly just honest talk. We don't use big words or try to confuse anyone. There’s a lot of noise from the street, especially near the statue, so we usually have to speak up. The sun hits the front of the shop in the morning, which makes it bright and warm inside. We have a small stool for people to sit on while they wait for a repair. Usually, they end up scrolling through another phone or just watching the traffic. We keep a ledger of all the work we do. It’s old school but it works for us. Some days are slow and we just sit and watch the world go by. Other days, we don't even have time to eat lunch until four in the afternoon. That’s just the way a small shop runs. We don't mind. It's a good place to be. We are just part of the local scenery now.
