Star Mobiles

We are located over in the Rani Achal Market area, right in Pratap Bazar. If you know the market, it’s always crowded with shoppers looking for a deal. Our shop is where we spend most of our daylight hours. We handle a lot of different mobile phones, mostly used ones or getting the newer models ready for people. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we usually have the fan going full speed. The floor is tile and we try to keep it clean, but people bring in sand from the street. It’s part of living here. We don't have a big corporate team or anything like that. It is just us behind the counter. We see families coming in together to pick out a phone for a kid or an elderly relative who needs bigger buttons. Sometimes we help people set up their accounts because the apps can be confusing. The market has its own rhythm. Around noon it gets quiet, then picks up again when the sun starts to go down. We have shelves filled with boxes and different cases. Some are colorful, some are plain. We don't really do much advertising, people just find us by walking through the bazar. It’s a simple life, really. We keep the doors open until late evening. By the time we close, the street lights are already on and the market is finally calming down for the night. We like it this way.
