Aashapura Electronics

This shop has been in Rani Achal Market for a while now. You can find us in Pratap Bazar, which is usually a hub of activity. We deal with all sorts of electronics, not just one thing. One day it’s a radio, the next day it’s a mixer or something for the kitchen. We have things stacked up on the shelves, maybe a bit too high sometimes. It feels a bit cramped when more than three people come in at once. We like being in this part of town because you get to see everything that’s happening. The other shopkeepers are friendly and we often share a cup of tea in the morning. We don't have a fancy website or a big marketing plan. We just open the shutters, sweep the front, and wait for the first customer. People usually come in asking if we can fix something that stopped working. We take a look, see what can be done. It’s practical work. Sometimes we have to wait a few days for parts to arrive from the city. The lights inside are bright so we can see the small wires. Our workbench is in the back, usually covered in tools and bits of plastic. It’s a bit messy but we know where everything is. Living and working in the same area means we know the families around here. It makes the day go by faster when you're talking to people you know. That is just how it is.
