I opened Shree Ganesh Moblie Shop here in the Tank Market area near the Sojat City Main Bus Stand. It’s a very noisy place because the buses are always honking. I spend most of my day hunched over a small desk fixing phone screens or changing batteries. People come in with cracked glass all the time. I also sell chargers, headphones, and those colorful phone covers that the younger kids like. The shop is quite small, so it gets crowded if more than three people come in at once. I try to work fast because people are usually in a hurry to catch their bus. Sometimes I have to tell them to come back tomorrow if the part isn't here yet. I keep the spare parts in little plastic drawers behind the counter. It’s a lot of work on the eyes, looking at those tiny screws all day. I have a small television in the corner to keep me company when things are quiet, but that doesn't happen often. The floor needs sweeping constantly because of the sand from the market outside. I’ve been in this spot for a few years now. I know the other shopkeepers around here, and we sometimes share tea in the afternoon. It’s a decent living. I’m just a guy who knows how to fix things that break. I don't have any help, so I do everything myself from opening the gate to locking up at night. It is a lot of hours but I like being my own boss.
