Shiv Shakti Tent & Light House

We’ve got our setup here at Shiv Shakti Tent & Light House on Bali Kachhari Road. It’s a bit of a chaotic place because we have so much gear piled up. There are stacks of folded tents, bundles of heavy poles, and crates full of various lights and tangled wires everywhere you look. When wedding season hits, this place turns into a total whirlwind of activity. We are constantly loading and unloading the truck, making sure we have enough clips and ropes for the next job. The road outside near the Kachhari is usually full of people and lawyers, so getting the truck in and out can be a real headache sometimes. I spend a lot of time untangling long strings of lights or checking bulbs to make sure they haven't burnt out before we send them out. It’s not the cleanest job, and my back usually aches by the end of the day from lifting all that heavy canvas and iron. We have a small desk tucked in the corner where we keep our calendar, which is covered in scribbles and crossed-out dates that only we can understand. It’s a bit of a maze in here, and if you don’t know where things are, you’ll never find them. We don't have any fancy brochures; we just show people photos on our phones of what we’ve done for others before. It’s just a local business trying to keep up with the town's celebrations, one tent at a time, and making sure the lights actually turn on when they're supposed to.
