Being right by the Sheoganj Bus Stand means Satyam Mobile is always in the middle of a lot of noise. You can hear the buses honking and the conductors shouting all day long. Our shop is small, but we've squeezed in as many glass cases as we could. We mostly deal with people who are passing through or locals who live nearby. There's always a layer of dust on the front window because of the buses kicking up dirt from the road. We don't have any fancy displays or a big staff. It's usually just me behind the counter. I spend a lot of time charging phones for people who are waiting for their bus or selling small items like cables and covers. The floor is concrete and easy to sweep, which is good because so many people walk in. Sometimes the shop feels a bit cramped when three or four people come in at once. We don't have a corporate style or anything like that. It’s just a regular shop where we try to help out whoever comes in. We stay open late because the buses keep running until night. The light outside the shop flickers sometimes, but we haven't gotten around to fixing it yet. It’s a busy life here at the bus stand, and we just take it one day at a time. It’s interesting to see all the different people traveling through every day.
