If you walk down Gurlai Marg, you’ll find us at number 212. It’s a standard shopfront, nothing too flashy, with wires and boxes stacked up where they fit. We’ve been operating out of this spot for a good long time. Most of the day is spent testing circuits, fixing motors, or sorting out wiring issues that people bring in. Sometimes it’s a neighbor with a broken fan, other times it’s someone from a nearby business needing a bigger repair. It’s a bit cramped inside because we tend to keep parts "just in case" we might need them later, which drives the younger staff a bit crazy. The street outside is usually busy with people going about their business. We don't have a big marketing plan or a website that we update; people just know Sanjay Electrical is here on the corner. We open up around nine, usually with a bit of a struggle with the shutter if it's been raining. Dealing with electricity requires focus, so even when the tea guy comes around, we try to keep our heads on the task. It isn't a glamorous job, but there's a certain satisfaction when a motor finally hums back to life after hours of tinkering. We just try to do a solid job and hope the customer is happy enough to come back next time something breaks. I've lived in this area most of my life and I think it shows.
