If you take a walk down Mandia Road, you’ll eventually come across our shop. Khokor Machinery Repairing Works is exactly what the name suggests. We fix machines. It’s a messy business, and our clothes usually show it by the end of the day. The shop is open to the street, so we get all the heat and the dust that comes with the location. We have a collection of tools that we’ve gathered over many years, some of them older than the people working here. There is always something sitting on the workbench waiting for a new part or a bit of welding. We don't have a website or a fancy way of booking jobs. People usually just show up with a broken pump or a motor and ask us to take a look. We listen to the sounds the machines make and try to find where the trouble is. Sometimes it’s an easy fix, and sometimes we have to tell them it’s seen better days. The neighborhood is full of small shops like ours, all just trying to get through the day's work. We don't put on any acts here. If you want your machinery looked at by folks who have spent their lives around grease and steel, this is where we are. It’s just us and the work, day in and day out. We just keep our heads down and get the job finished.
