I've been running Rehmat Mobile Shop here at the New Bus Stand for quite a while now. The noise from the buses is something you just get used to after a few weeks. Every morning when I roll up the shutter, there's already a layer of dust on the glass counters from the traffic. I spend the first ten minutes just wiping everything down. People come in all day, usually in a big hurry because their bus is about to leave. They want a quick charge or a cable because they left theirs at home. I keep a lot of those basic things near the front. The shop isn't very large, so it gets a bit cramped when three or four people are inside at once. I have a small stool behind the counter where I sit and work on phone screens. It’s a lot of tiny screws and keeping your hands steady while people are shouting outside. Sometimes the heat gets pretty bad in the afternoons, and I have to turn on both fans just to breathe. My cousin usually brings me some tea from the stall across the way around four o'clock. That's the best part of the day. We don't have any fancy displays or bright lights. It’s just a practical place for people who need their phones fixed or a new battery. I’ve seen the bus stand change over the years, but the shop stays mostly the same. Just a simple spot for mobile work.
