You can find Ramdev Mobile Service & Sale over at Housing Board 117. Being in a housing board area means we are right where people live, so it’s not like being in the main market. It feels a bit quieter here, which is nice when you’re trying to fix a small circuit board on a phone. We have a small counter and some stools for people to sit on while they tell us what’s wrong with their device. Most of the time, it’s a cracked screen or a battery that won’t hold a charge anymore. We sell a few new phones too, but the service side keeps us busiest. The shop is small and we have our tools spread out on the back table. We aren't part of some big chain of stores. It's just a local operation where we do the work ourselves. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. If you come in, you're talking directly to the person who’s going to be working on your phone. We’ve been at 117 for a good while now, and the neighbors know us. We try to be honest about whether a phone is actually worth fixing or if it’s time to get a new one. It’s practical work for practical people. No flash, no polished floors, just a place to get your mobile sorted out without any fuss. It isn't much, but it's what we do every day.
