If you head down to the Main Bazar on Sojat Road, you'll see Ramdev Mobile Reparing. It’s a small place, wedged between a cloth shop and a tea stall. The shop is mostly taken up by a long workbench covered in tiny screws, screwdrivers, and magnifying glasses. There's always a bit of dust because of all the traffic on the main road outside. We don't have a big sign or anything flashy. Usually, there’s a pile of old phones in the corner that we use for parts. It’s just me and sometimes my brother working here. We spend hours hunched over, trying to fix things that people dropped or spilled water on. The light in the shop isn't the best, so we use these desk lamps that get really hot. People come in from the villages nearby or just locals from the bazar. It gets really crowded on market days, and sometimes there's barely enough room for two people to stand inside. We don't have a set mission or anything like that. We just open up in the morning, do the repairs that are waiting, and head home when it gets dark. The chair I sit on squeaks every time I move, but I've gotten used to it. It’s a basic shop where we just deal with whatever problems people bring us. Sometimes the work takes longer than we thought and we have to stay late.
