We are located right by the Old Bus Stand at Vivekanad Circle, so there is always a crowd moving around outside our door. It is a loud place with buses honking and people rushing to catch their rides at all hours. Inside the shop, things are a bit more focused. We mostly deal with mobile phones, whether someone needs a new screen protector or their phone is acting up and will not turn on. Since we are so close to the bus stand, we get a lot of people just passing through who need a quick recharge or a new set of earphones for their long trip. The shelves are packed with different cases and cables because everyone seems to have a different model of phone these days. It is a small space, so it can get a bit cramped when three or four people come in at the same time. We don't really have a back room, so all the repair work happens right there behind the glass counter while the customer waits. Sometimes we are hunting for a tiny part that dropped on the floor, which is a bit of a pain for our eyes. We have been at Vivekanad Circle for a while now, and the routine is always the same. We open up early, watch the buses come and go, and help whoever walks through the door. It is a simple business, just keeping people connected so they can go about their day. (259 words)
