Everyone seems to be dropping their phones these days, so we stay fairly busy over here at Surajpole. Mansi Mobile is a small spot, just enough room for a counter and some stools for people to sit while they wait for a screen repair. We have those plastic bins full of different charging cables and those colorful covers that people like to swap out. Sometimes the soldering iron stays hot all afternoon because there is always a charging port that needs fixing or a battery that won't hold a charge anymore. The light in the shop is a bit bright so we can see the tiny screws inside the handsets. It is easy to lose those little things if you aren't careful. Surajpole is a loud part of town, so there is always the sound of horns and people talking right outside the door. We usually have the radio playing low in the background. Most folks come in because they cracked their glass or they need a new screen guard put on without any bubbles under it. It takes a steady hand. We aren't doing anything big or fancy, just fixing what's broken and selling the bits and pieces people need to keep their phones working. Sometimes the delivery for the tempered glass arrives late, so we just make do with what is on the shelf. It is honest work. We stay open until the street gets quiet at night, then we lock up and do it all again tomorrow.
