Majisa Mobile Shop is located right by the New Bus Stand, which is a very busy spot to be. We deal with a lot of people who have just arrived in town and realize their phone battery is dead or they have run out of talk time. We have a couple of stools where people can sit while we look at their devices. The main work we do is fixing broken screens and changing batteries that have puffed up. It is a lot of fiddly work with small screwdrivers and tweezers. The light in the shop isn't the best, so we use a desk lamp to see what we are doing. We also sell a lot of earphones because people lose them on the bus all the time. The walls are covered in colorful plastic cases for all kinds of phone models, even the older ones that are hard to find parts for now. It gets noisy with the buses honking right outside the door, but we don't mind much. We have a small television in the corner that we keep on for the news or some music. It’s a busy little shop, and we are usually working on two or three phones at once. We don't have fancy uniforms or anything, just us in our regular clothes trying to get the jobs done so people can get back to their travels. We keep our tools organized on a wooden board so we can find them quickly.
