Maa Bhawani Tent House

We have been running Maa Bhawani Tent House in Marwar for quite some time. It is a local business that deals with all the stuff you need for a big gathering. We have piles of heavy tents, wooden poles, and hundreds of chairs stacked up in our yard. The work is very physical and usually involves a lot of sweat. Marwar can get very hot, so we are often up before the sun to start loading the trucks. We don't have any fancy office or a secretary answering the phones. Usually, someone just calls us or stops by to talk about their upcoming wedding or a religious function. We go out, set everything up, and then come back a few days later to tear it all down again. It’s a lot of folding heavy fabric and making sure the ropes are tight so nothing blows away if the wind picks up. Our equipment isn't brand new, but it’s sturdy and gets the job done. Sometimes we are working in the middle of a dusty field and other times it's in someone's backyard. We just focus on getting the tents standing straight and the seating arranged properly. It’s honest, hard work that keeps us busy throughout the wedding season. We’ve become a regular part of the community here because people know where to find us when they have a celebration.
