Our little shop is tucked into Nakoda Market 11 on Mandia Road. It is a tight squeeze once you get a few people inside, especially when someone is trying to look at a phone and someone else is waiting for a recharge. We have glass counters filled with all sorts of things like colorful covers and screen guards that we spend all day peeling and sticking. The market is always noisy with other shopkeepers talking and people bartering for prices. We mostly handle small repairs, like when someone drops their phone in water or the charging port stops working properly. It takes a lot of patience to look at those tiny screws under the lamp. My hands are usually a bit dirty from the tools. We keep a small radio playing in the corner just to have some background noise. Some days are slow and we just sit there watching people walk past the entrance. Other days, everyone seems to have a broken screen at the same time. The shelves are packed with boxes of accessories, and sometimes it takes a minute to find the right cable for a customer. We don't have any fancy signs, just a basic one so people know where to turn. It is a decent way to spend the day, even if the stool gets a bit uncomfortable after a few hours of sitting and working on electronics.
