Rani Main Bazar is always a mess of people and carts, and that’s where you’ll find Hari Om Mobile Repairs. We sit at a small desk most of the day with those tiny screwdrivers and magnifying glasses. It’s quiet work in a loud market. You can hear the music from the cloth shop across the way and the bells from the temple. People bring in phones that have been dropped or soaked in water and we see what we can do. Sometimes it takes a while to find the right part but we just keep at it. The shop is narrow and has a high ceiling which helps with the air. We keep all the spare parts in little plastic bins that are stacked up to the roof. Sometimes the dust from the main road gets into the delicate parts and we have to be careful. Rani is a hot place in the summer so we drink a lot of water and keep the small desk fan pointed right at us. We don't have any big advertisements outside, just the name on the board. People find us because they know we have been in the bazar for years. It’s steady work and we like being in the middle of all the action in Rani. Some days the internet is slow and we just sit and wait.
