It’s a small space, filled mostly with a workbench and shelves of old phone boxes and spare parts. I spend my hours looking at circuit boards and trying to fix screens that have been dropped on the pavement. The market is always loud with people talking and scooters zooming by outside. It’s a good place to be because there is always something happening. I don’t have a big marketing budget or a fancy sign. Most people come to us because they’ve heard from a neighbor that we can fix their phone. I usually have a cup of tea sitting on the bench while I work. Sometimes the parts take a few days to arrive, and the shop gets a bit backed up with repairs. I try to stay organized, but with so many small screws and cables, it’s a bit of a struggle. We aren’t trying to be a big chain or anything like that. We just want to do a decent job so people can use their phones again. It’s a lot of fine work that requires a steady hand. Every day is a bit different depending on what kind of damage people bring into the shop, but we just keep at it until the work is finished.
