I run Choudahry Electronics right at the junction of Sojat Road and Fulad Road. It’s a spot where a lot of people pass by on their way to the next town. My shop is mostly full of wires, light bulbs, and old parts from things I’ve been trying to fix. There’s a workbench in the back where I spend most of my hours with a magnifying glass and some tools. The shelves are a bit cluttered with fans and electric kettles that have seen better days. It’s not the kind of place where things are displayed beautifully, but if you need a specific fuse or a length of copper wire, I usually have it somewhere in a box. The traffic outside can be quite loud, especially the heavy trucks, but you get used to it. I have a small stool for customers to sit on while they wait for me to test a battery or a bulb. The walls are covered in old calendars and some diagrams of circuits I drew a long time ago. My hands are usually a bit dirty from grease or soot, but that’s just the nature of the work. I’ve been at this location for many years now and I’ve seen the roads get paved and the lights change. It’s a simple living and it keeps me busy from dawn until the streetlights come on. People know me as the person who can usually get their old appliances working again.
