Vasai Engineering Works

Vasai Engineering Works is located at Laxmi Industrial Estate in Navghar. We’re in unit number two. If you’re coming from Vasai Road (E), it’s not too hard to find. We do a mix of things here, mostly structural steel work and general fabrication. The workshop isn't very big, so we have to be careful about how we move things around. We’ve got a couple of welding sets and a big cutting table. Most days it’s just the sound of grinding and hammers hitting steel. It’s a loud place to work. I spend half my time on the floor and the other half talking to customers on the phone. We don't have a big sales team or anything like that. It’s just us. We get a lot of work from the housing projects going up around Vasai and from other factories in Navghar. We aren't perfect, and sometimes we fall behind when a machine breaks down, but we always tell the customer the truth. We’ve been in this estate for years and know most of the other shop owners. It’s a good community. We just keep our heads down and do the work that comes our way. It’s not glamorous, but it’s what we know how to do. Some days are better than others, but we always make sure the shop is ready for the next day.
