N. G. Machine Tools

Our shop is tucked away in Unit No. B-17 at the Star Industrial Estate. It’s out on Naikpada Road in Waliv, which is part of Vasai East. It can get pretty crowded on the roads around here, especially when the big lorries are trying to turn into the estate. We have been running things from this unit for a good bit now. Inside, it’s mostly just rows of machine tools and workbenches. It isn't a showroom; it's a place where work actually happens. The floor is concrete and has a few stains from oil over the years, which is pretty much what you’d expect from a place like this. We spend most of our time looking at blueprints or adjusting the settings on the equipment. It is quiet work sometimes, but other times it’s quite noisy depending on what is being machined that day. We don't have a fancy receptionist or a lobby with magazines and soft chairs. Usually, if you walk in, you'll find one of us with a wrench or a measuring tool in hand. We prefer it that way. It keeps things simple and direct. The commute to Vasai East can be a bit of a pain during the monsoon season, but we always manage to show up and get the machines running. We just focus on the task at hand and try to make sure everything we put out is solid. It's a decent way to make a living and we like the independence of it.
