Finding us at Sheetal Engineering isn't too hard if you know the Western Express Highway. We are tucked inside the Amrut Industrial Estate at unit B/8. It is a big, busy area near Kashimira. Most people use Sapna Hotel as a landmark, and we are right opposite the Vasani petrol pump. The estate is always full of trucks and people moving crates around, so it gets quite dusty during the dry months. We have been in this spot in Thane district for a long time. The workshop floor is usually covered in metal shavings and the smell of oil, which is just how it is in this line of work. It is not a showroom; it is a place where things actually get made. We start early, usually before the highway traffic gets really bad. If you're coming from the city side, you have to be careful not to miss the turn-off. We have a small cabin for the paperwork, but most of the day is spent out back. The tea guy comes around twice a day, and that is when everyone takes a five-minute breather. We don't have fancy office chairs or glass walls. It is mostly just brick, steel, and hard work. Our neighbors in the estate are all doing similar stuff, so there is always a lot of noise from machines next door. We keep our heads down and focus on the engineering tasks we have for the day.
