Our place, Rapid Pack Engineering, is located at Survey Number 66, Plot Number 18 in Village Waliv. This is out in Vasai East, near the Ipol area. It is an industrial zone, so the roads are a bit rough and there is always some dust in the air. We have a workshop where we design and put together packaging machines. It is a very hands-on environment. You will usually find us in the middle of the shop floor with tools in our hands, trying to get a machine part to fit just right. The office is just a small room off to the side where we keep the computer and the files. It is often a bit noisy because of the welding and grinding happening nearby. We are a small crew of engineers and technicians. We do not have any marketing people or a big sales team. Most of our customers find us through word of mouth or because they have seen our machines working elsewhere. We have our tea together in the morning before we start the machines. The work is physical and sometimes tiring, but it is what we know how to do. We do not have any big corporate goals; we just want to build machines that do not break down and that do the job they were made for. It is just honest, practical engineering work in a busy industrial village.
