Krishnanath College School

Krishnanath College School is tucked away near Saviliya Park in Mira Road. If you know the area, it's a bit quieter than the main road which is nice for the students. The building has been here for years and it shows its age in some spots but it’s sturdy. I usually get here early to open up the main doors before the first bus arrives. The staff room is always a bit crowded with papers and half-finished cups of tea. We don't really do the whole corporate thing here. It's just a school where people come to learn and we do our best to keep things running. The park nearby is a good landmark for people who are coming to visit us for the first time. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit in the afternoon and we just open the windows to let the breeze in from the Thane side. The kids have their own spots where they like to sit during lunch. It’s not a massive campus or anything like that but it works for what we need. We see the same faces every day and you get to know the families living in the nearby apartments. It’s just a regular part of the neighborhood. We don’t have any big speeches or anything, we just focus on the books and the daily schedule. That’s how it’s been for as long as I can remember.
