St Peters High School

We are over on Manvel Pada Road in Virar East, which is part of the Palghar district. It’s quite a walk from the railway station, but plenty of rickshaws come this way. The school has been part of this neighborhood for quite a while now. It’s a busy area with lots of houses and small shops nearby, so there is always something going on outside our gate. The school building is a few stories high and we have quite a lot of students coming in every day. Mornings are the busiest time, with everyone trying to get through the doors before the first bell rings at 8:00 AM. We have a courtyard where the kids gather, and the sound of them talking and playing carries through the whole building. It’s not a quiet place, but that’s what you expect with so many kids around. We have the usual stuff like a small office for the principal and rows of wooden desks in the classrooms. Sometimes the fans make a bit of noise, but nobody really notices anymore. We just keep up with the daily chores, like checking the attendance and making sure the lunch break goes okay. It’s a very normal, local school. We don’t try to be anything else. We just open up every morning and do our work until it’s time to lock up and head home for the night ourselves.
