Krishnamal Ramasubaiyer School

This school is located right in Shanti Nagar, which is a decent part of Mira Road. We have been running things here for the kids in the neighborhood for quite a while. The building isn't new, but it holds up well enough for the daily classes. You can hear the children playing during the breaks from quite a distance away. Thane can be a loud place, but inside the gates, we try to keep things organized. We have different classrooms for various ages. The desks are the standard wooden ones that have been around for years. We don't have a giant playground, but there's enough space for the morning assembly if everyone stands close together. Teachers here mostly live close by, so they walk to work. It makes the place feel like part of the community. We deal with all the usual school stuff like exams, uniforms, and parent meetings. Sometimes the rain makes the walk to the entrance a bit muddy, but we manage with some extra mats. It’s a practical place for learning. We don't use a lot of fancy technology, just books and chalkboards for the most part. The parents know us, and we know the families. That is how things work in this part of Mira Road. Shanti Nagar has its own pace, and we just fit right into it. The bell rings at the same time every day, and that's the signal for everything to start. We spend our afternoons grading papers in the small staff room near the entrance.
