Kamakhya Engineering Works

We are located over on Navghar Marg, right on Goddev Road in the A-1 section. It is an industrial kind of area, so you will hear a lot of metal clanging and machines running if you walk down the street. Our workshop is usually full of tools, spare parts, and whatever project we are currently grinding away at. Engineering work is mostly just a lot of measuring, cutting, and fixing things that have stopped working. The floor is usually a bit greasy because that is just the nature of the job. Navghar Marg gets pretty busy with trucks and tempos, especially in the mornings when everyone is trying to get their materials delivered. We don't have a fancy office or anything like that. It is just a practical space where we can get the work done without distractions. The roof is corrugated metal, so when it rains, it gets really loud inside and you have to shout to be heard over the sound of the water hitting the top. We stay pretty busy with the local jobs coming in from the nearby factories and small shops. Most days we are just covered in dust and grease from head to toe. It is a living, and it is what we know how to do best. We keep the doors open for some air, and you can see the traffic passing by on Goddev Road while we work on the lathe or the welding bench.
