Gita Engineering Works is tucked away in 10 & 15Neminath Industrial Estate No.3Navghar.(East). If you’re heading out towards Navghar, you’ll find us there. It’s a standard industrial setup, nothing flashy to look at, but it’s where we get all the metalwork and repairs done. The machines can be noisy, so it’s not the quietest place to have a conversation, but that’s the nature of the shop. We’ve been in this space for a long time, and the neighbors in the estate are mostly the same people we’ve seen for years. We spend most of our hours fixing things or making parts based on what people need. Sometimes a guy comes in with a broken piece of equipment and we have to figure out how to get it moving again. It’s practical work. We don’t spend much time on the computer unless we have to. Most of the day is spent with tools in hand. The floor usually has some metal shavings on it, and there is always that smell of oil and grease that you get in an engineering shop. It’s just us doing what we’ve always done. We don’t have a big front office or a receptionist. If you come by, you’ll probably find us near the back working on a lathe or a drill. It’s straightforward, honest work that keeps us busy. We drink a lot of tea to stay focused during those long afternoon shifts when the heat gets bad.
