Shaesta Driving School

We are tucked into Shop No. 15 at St Anthony Apartments in the Feira Alto area of Mapusa. If you know where the Mapusa Clinic is, we are right opposite that. Being in Goa, things are a little more relaxed, but the driving part is still serious work. Shaesta Driving School has been teaching locals how to handle the roads for a good while now. The streets around here can be pretty narrow and tricky, especially during the market days when everyone is out. We spend our hours sitting in the car, guiding people through their first gear changes and making sure they don't panic when a bus comes too close. It’s a small office, nothing too big, mostly just where we handle the paperwork for the RTO. We see all kinds of people coming in, from teenagers to older folks who never got around to learning. We try to be patient because we know how scary it can be to be in the driver’s seat for the first time. The weather in Goa means we deal with a lot of rain during the monsoon, which makes teaching even more of a challenge. But we keep at it. We aren't trying to be the biggest school in the state, just a reliable place where you can learn the basics properly. It’s just about getting people ready for the road so they can go about their daily lives.
