Yadav Engineering Works

M-136 in Section 5 of Bawana is where we spend our days. It's a busy part of the industrial area and there’s always the sound of metal being worked on nearby. Yadav Engineering Works isn’t a large operation, just a handful of us making sure the machines are running and the orders get out. The floor is usually a bit greasy and there are shavings of metal in the corners, but that's just part of the job. We have our lathes and drills set up to maximize the space we have. It’s a practical setup. We don't have a big fancy sign or a lobby. You just walk in through the main shutter and we’re right there. Sometimes the air gets thick with the smell of cutting oil and heat. We take our breaks together and talk about whatever is happening in the news. Being in Bawana means we are surrounded by other workshops, so there's always someone to borrow a tool from if we’re in a pinch. It’s a hard-working atmosphere. We don't spend much on marketing or anything like that. People mostly find us by word of mouth or by just driving through Sec-5 and seeing the work we do. It’s a simple life of measuring, cutting, and welding until the sun goes down and we lock up the gate at M-136. It is tough work but it is honest and we are proud of it.
