Sangam Engineering Works

Out here in Bawana Industrial Area, things never really stop moving. Sangam Engineering Works is located in Sector 3, right at E-41. It’s a bit of a trek to get out here if you aren’t used to the industrial zones, but this is where all the real work happens. The streets are wide enough for the lorries, but they still get jammed up sometimes during the shift changes. We spend our hours inside the shed dealing with various engineering tasks. It’s mostly the sound of lathes and drills going all day long. You get used to the noise after a few weeks. Our spot at E-41 isn't anything special to look at from the outside, just a standard industrial unit with a heavy door. Inside, though, it’s organized in our own way. We keep the machines running and try to stay on top of the orders that come in. Lunch is usually a quick break with some tea from the stall down the road. There are many other workshops in Sector 3, so we have plenty of neighbors doing similar things. It’s a tough environment with the heat and the grease, but it’s what we know. We don’t spend time making things look pretty for visitors. We just focus on the metal and the measurements. Every day is pretty much the same cycle of opening up, checking the machines, and getting to work until it’s time to head home.
