You can find us on the first floor at 4762 in Hauz Qazi. It’s an old building, but it works for what we do at Vijay Engineering Corporation. Hauz Qazi is always full of energy and noise, which we've grown to like over the years. We deal with engineering supplies and parts. It's dusty sometimes, and the stairs are a bit steep, but this is where we’ve set up shop. Most of our day is spent talking to contractors or guys from the local workshops who need a specific part for a machine. We don't have a showroom with bright lights. It’s more of a place where things are stacked on shelves and we know where everything is, even if it looks a bit crowded to an outsider. We’ve been here a long time. People know they can just come up to the first floor and find us. We don’t use much fancy tech, just the basics to keep our records straight. It’s a lot of manual work, moving boxes and checking sizes. Sometimes the heat in the summer makes things slow, but we keep the fans going and get through the list of orders. It's a very traditional way of doing business, face to face and honest. We don’t promise things we can't do. We just look at what's in the bin and tell you if we have it or not. That is how we have always operated here.
