Vega Plus Exim Pvt Ltd is based on the second floor of the City Market at 3963/208 Ajmeri Gate. Being up on the second floor means we have to carry everything up and down the stairs, which is quite a chore on busy days. The market area is always crowded and noisy, but it’s a good place to be for an import-export business. Our office is fairly small and often filled with stacks of shipping documents and samples. We spend a lot of time on the phone dealing with customs and transport people. It isn't a very glamorous job, mostly just a lot of coordinating and making sure things are moving like they should. We have some old filing cabinets that are overflowing and a couple of desks that have seen a lot of use. We don't have a fancy reception area or anyone to greet you at the door. You just walk in and find us working. Sometimes the power goes out in the market and we have to wait for the generator to kick in. It's just part of being in this area. We’ve been here for a while and we know the other shopkeepers around. We just keep our heads down and handle the paperwork as it comes in. It’s a lot of long hours but we manage to get through it every day without needing any flashy corporate policies.
