Alka Trading Co

Alka Trading Co is on the 2nd floor at 4769 Hauz Qazi. We are right by the Tanga Stand. If you’ve been to Hauz Qazi, you know how much is going on there. It’s a major hub for trade. There are always people carrying loads and carts moving through the streets. We’ve been up on this second floor for quite a while now. The stairs are a bit steep, so we get our exercise every day. Our space is simple. We have our inventory and a small corner for the paperwork. We don't have any air conditioning, just some good ceiling fans that keep the air moving. It’s an old building, but it’s sturdy. We like the high ceilings. They make the rooms feel bigger than they are. From our windows, we can see the street below. It’s always interesting to watch the tangas. There aren't as many of them as there used to be, but they’re still around. We don't have a big fancy website or a big sign. Most of our customers have been coming to us for years. They know exactly where we are. We just focus on getting through the orders and getting our work done. It’s a busy life here in the market, but it’s what we know. We aren't planning on moving anytime soon. We like being in the middle of everything. It’s where the business happens. We’re just a regular part of the daily grind. It's noisy but we're used to it.
