Amir & Co

If you have ever been down to Chawri Bazar, you know how crowded and loud it can get. Our shop, Amir & Co, is tucked away at 3678/3, right opposite the Union Bank. It is one of those old-school spots where the streets are narrow and you have to watch your step because of the rickshaws and people carrying heavy loads. We have been here for a long time, and the building shows its age, but that is just part of the charm of this market. Most days we are just busy managing the stock and talking to people who drop by. Being across from the bank makes it easy for folks to find us, which is helpful since every building around here starts to look the same after a while. We don't have a website or any of those modern things; we just open the doors early in the morning and stay until the market starts to quiet down in the evening. There is always a lot of tea drinking and chatting with the neighbors. Sometimes the power goes out or the street gets blocked by a delivery, but we just take it as it comes. It is a bit of a squeeze inside with all the goods piled up, but we know where everything is. It is a simple way of doing business, the same way it has been done in Chawri Bazar for decades.
