Gorkha Auto Electricals

Our shop is at Plot No 1/142 in the United Complex on Nicholson Road. If you’re familiar with the Kashmere Gate area, we’re pretty easy to spot. We are near the Fire Stone Building and not far from the Axis Bank branch. Gorkha Auto Electricals is where we spend most of our waking hours. It’s a busy place because there are always vehicles and parts moving around. We deal with electrical components for cars and trucks. The air usually smells a bit like oil and old metal, which is fine by us. It’s a working man’s shop. We don’t have fancy chairs for people to sit in; we’re usually too busy looking under hoods or testing batteries anyway. The United Complex has a lot of energy, and being on Nicholson Road means there’s constant noise from the traffic. We’ve got shelves piled high with starters, alternators, and wiring. Sometimes it looks like a mess to an outsider, but we know exactly where every single fuse is. We've been in the Kashmere Gate neighborhood for years, so we know most of the other mechanics around here. We just try to be helpful and get people back on the road. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we know how to do. We just take it one day at a time. It’s a good feeling when an engine finally turns over after we’ve fixed the wiring.
