Srizan Art Gallery

You can find Srizan Art Gallery at 14, School Lane. It’s a small street and it stays relatively calm compared to the main roads. We opened this place because we wanted a spot to show the art we collect and handle. It’s not a huge space, but we make the most of it. We move the displays around quite often to keep it interesting. Sometimes there’s dust on the frames, and we have to stay on top of that. School Lane is a nice little pocket of the city. We get some people wandering in by accident and others who come looking specifically for us. We don't do big openings or flashy events. We just keep the doors open and let people look around at their own pace. The lighting in here is okay, but we’re always trying to adjust it. We aren't art experts with degrees; we just know what we like and what the local artists are doing. We keep a ledger of everything that comes in and goes out. It’s a very manual process. There’s a certain rhythm to life here at number 14. We spend our afternoons mostly organizing or chatting with whoever stops by. It’s a humble setup, and we aren't trying to be anything more than a local gallery for the neighborhood.
